Terms of Service for Socially Inept

Welcome to Socially Inept ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our social networking, marketplace, and gaming services. By registering an account or using Socially Inept, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Socially Inept, you confirm that:
✔ You are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/EEA).
✔ You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
✔ You will comply with all applicable laws and these Terms.

2. Account Registration & Security

A. Account Creation

Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
Do not impersonate others or use fake identities.
You may register via email or third-party SSO (Google, Facebook, etc.).

B. Account Security

You are solely responsible for safeguarding your password.
Notify us immediately at support@sociallyinept.com if your account is compromised.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.

3. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:
❌ Harass, bully, dox, or threaten others.
❌ Post illegal, hateful, or explicit content (e.g., nudity, violence).
❌ Scam, spam, or engage in fraudulent transactions (e.g., fake listings, phishing).
❌ Cheat in games, exploit bugs, or use unauthorized bots.
❌ Infringe intellectual property (upload content you don’t own).
❌ Circumvent bans or use multiple accounts to evade restrictions.

Violations may result in content removal, suspensions, or legal action.

4. Marketplace & Transactions

A. Buying & Selling

Sellers must accurately describe items and honor listed prices.
Buyers must pay promptly and comply with return policies.
Socially Inept is not a party to transactions—disputes are between users.

B. Prohibited Items

You may not sell:

Weapons, drugs, or illegal substances.
Stolen goods, counterfeit items, or regulated products (e.g., medical devices).

C. Payments & Fees

We use third-party processors (Stripe, PayPal); we do not store payment details.
Fees (if applicable) will be disclosed before checkout.

5. Gaming & Virtual Goods

In-game currency/items are licensed, not owned, and cannot be exchanged for real money.
No refunds for virtual purchases unless required by law.
Exploits or cheating will result in bans and forfeiture of virtual assets.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your content, but grant us a global license to host, display, and distribute it on Socially Inept.
Our logos, software, and trademarks are owned by Socially Inept LLC. Do not misuse them.

7. Termination & Suspension

We may terminate or suspend your account if you:
🔴 Repeatedly violate these Terms.
🔴 Engage in illegal or harmful behavior.
🔴 Create risk or legal exposure for Socially Inept.

You may appeal suspensions via support@sociallyinept.com.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Socially Inept is provided "as is." We do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted or error-free service.
Accuracy of marketplace listings.
Outcomes of disputes between users.

We are not liable for:

Damages from using the Platform.
Third-party conduct (e.g., scams, fraud).

Some jurisdictions do not allow liability exclusions—see Section 12 for details.

9. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

B. Binding Arbitration (U.S. Users)

Disputes must be resolved via confidential arbitration (not court).

C. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by California law (or your jurisdiction if required).

10. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms and will notify users via:

Email (for major changes).
In-app banner (for minor updates).
Continued use = acceptance of new Terms.
