Today, we said goodbye to beloved Scooter: a cat who defied every expectation, stole every heart, and filled our lives with endless love.
Scooter wasn’t just a cat; he was a dog at heart. With his dog-like devotion, he greeted visitors, followed us from room to room, played fetch, chewed on bones with his brothers and won over even the most adamant "cat haters" with his charm. He had a way of making everyone feel chosen, as if he’d decided they were worthy of his affection and once they met him, they couldn’t help but agree.
For 18 incredible years, Scooter was the perfect, imperfect companion; who could drive you mad in the middle of the night with his antics, yet melt your heart by curling up beside you for a cozy TV marathon. He was mischief and warmth, chaos and comfort, all wrapped into one unforgettable little soul. Life with him was never dull, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Though our hearts ache with his absence, we take comfort in knowing that his paw prints are forever etched into our lives. He wasn’t just a pet; he was family. A teacher of unconditional love, a master of mischief, and a friend unlike any other.
Rest easy, sweet Scooter. You were one of a kind, and you were so, so loved.
